If your Antiviral/Malware program is blocking Punkbuster which I think it might, then while you are trying to update Punkbuster it would block it there as well. Even if it says the update is finished it won't actually update it. I've had these similar problems with my Antivirus program. You might try a different one.

If you think Malawarebytes is the problem then just uninstall it from you system. Remember it's freeware you can always get it back.
