Cheat: Aimbot

I was playing on Gotland #5 IO server a short while back and this aimbotter starts annoying everyone. Unfortunately, no admins were around and the kick-vote didn't really work so he was there for some time. Eventually I decided to capture him with fraps and the result is here:

Notice how his aimbot freaks out 1:40 into the video.

I am not really sure how to progress with this or if it is even worth the bother. Should I report it somewhere else?

Report it to the server admins website perhaps? Nice find btw.

Thanks - I've tried to locate some contact info for Gotland's admins but can't really seem to find any. Hgo.se/game doesn't have any info as far as I see. Anyone familiar with any admins there?

IRC is the best way i've found to contact them. But if you havent got any IRC program, im not sure what it best esle to try. Maybe try their Teamspeak or Ventrilo servers?

Oh nice catch. Pests like him should be eliminated with no mercy.

actually anyone can do that administrator rights thing, you merely need to type the correct code into the console. I can't remember what it was but TomFoster used to do it all the time and got banned a lot for it :p

His name is SJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKY btw, sounds like a Dutch name to me.
Take a look at his stats, K/D ratio of 11.29. Promoted to Captain Obivious.

Thanks. I don't have IRC and I cannot find any info on TS or vent. Can't even find a homepage. It's the university of Gotland's servers.

Well that sucks. You try to do a good deed with proof and they don't care, sad.....
I know they do catch allot of people and they are appreciated for their efforts, but what you have is good for me, hahaha

No its not as simple as that, to prevent false evidence being submitted any evidence submitted to PBBans and any other anti cheat site has to be streamed evidence. A random video wouldn't be accepted or you or me could go out get a nice name hack and frame someone, or a screenshot could be edited to incriminate someone (you get the idea). All evidence simply has to be verified.

If the server is streaming to GGC contact an admin and ask them if they have a demo of the player in question.

As far as screenshots may be easily edited, vidios are harder to edit but it is doable you just need good tools and some time. Sad PB works that way, but it is true they can't ban an innocent person.

Punkbuster Screenshots are MD5 verifyed.
Battlerecorder files do not contain any player data therefore simple name hack programs make's the data unreliable.
Streaming data is where the data submitted by the server host can be validated by information received by the anti-cheat organisation.

GGC do accept BR files from streaming servers, pbbans & punksbusted do not.

From a players perspective there is no point reporting players to evenbalance or EA, or to be honest any anti-cheat organisation, inform the people who run the server, they may be able to catch the cheat through PBSS, and at least they can take retrospective action and ban them locally.

Well done on outing the player, admins do use this type of information to support any suspicions they have about a player, so don't think you've wasted your time.
Just to confirm your suspicions this clown has been banned previously.

Thanks for the clarification. I found Gotland's homepage (bfg.nu) and reported him there. He is now on their global ban list, so at least that's 13 servers he cannot use.
