Not sure how much it will cost here in Aust but I guess somewhere around the normal $100 mark. That seems to be the accepted norm now, screw the poor customer for every cent they can, not realising if they say charged a few dollars less we would have money to buy either another of their hacked titles or the hacked expansion packs....ooops was I being cynical? Must stop that before I upset the almighty EA.......****holes.

yeah, ive got it. its sluggish on controlls but its vast, you can practly go anywere on this massive island. anyware! you select a mission and go there, its good, and a few little good features but with every game it has its draw backs, 1 being sluggish and not a fast game play!

Downloaded a demo of this game a few weeks ago, it where really hard to understand what to do, and it didn't looked as good as the screen shots I've seen of it. A Swedish gaming magazine recently said that it's no end of the bug reports, and it has already been patched a few times.
But yeah, it LOOKS good...

Would be so cool to add a class with a stinger (like the AT class), so those planes and heli's won't own us that much. There is really not much defense aganist those "wings rom above"

And I really enjoyd OFP , I liked those huge maps where you really could get lost in. driving in a jeep and try to ambush the enemy. I woulg go as a sniper en take a jeep and drive to a nice forest between my camp and theirs...park my jeep on the far side of the forest and walk to the otherside get prone and snipe them all... after a while I ran back to the jeep and found myself another forest .

I'm downloading the demo at this moment

after trying several download servers I finnaly got one that downloaded the whole version. after installing i've got this error:

It basicly says that I can't start this aplication because it can't find d3dx9_30.dll

can somebody explain what this means? I thought it has something to do with directX :S

well I hope the full game is better...hate it when you get a error in the demo >>>lol

Try updating dx9, and also check msconfig to see if the game is running in dx9 - if you've updated direct x and it still doesn't work, try forcing it to run in dx7 by changing the setting in msconfig (I don't have the game so I don't know where the setting is, or even if it exists, but it should)

where to download dx9? just the microsoft site?

Well I can play the demo, any one els played it yet?

The best part of it is that you can go anywhere you please. another feature is that you have a "free look" wich means you only turn your head.
Another nice thing is that the player is NOT allowed to jump so no more bunny hoppers hahahaha

I think the voices are pretty dumb, like when the say "target at 11 o clock" The voice sounds like a computer from the 80's
I played everything on highest detail 1600*1200 and the graphics looked good, nice distance view. I have to get used to the controls again, but i liked what I've seen so far.

any of you guys have any comments on the demo?
