I think the byte is a unit of digital information in computing and telecommunications. It is an ordered collection of bits, in which each bit denotes the binary value of 1 or 0. Historically, a byte was the number of bits (typically 6, 7, 8, or 9) used to encode a character of text in a computer and it is for this reason the basic addressable element in many computer architectures. Are you still with me? In that case I will continue. The size of a byte is typically hardware dependent, but the modern de facto standard is 8 bits, as this is a convenient power of 2, you know. Most of the numeric values used by many applications are representable in 8 bits and processor designers optimize for this common usage. Just tell me when I am going too fast for you. Signal processing applications tend to operate on larger values and some digital signal processors have 16 or 40 bits as the smallest unit of addressable storage (on such processors a byte may be defined to contain this number of bits).

Everyone knows that. But, by all means, correct me if I am wrong.

Why don't you just write down the url http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte ;)

mmh stats-o-matic doesn't work today :(

only bfbcs.com works, but i hate this site :(

damn i miss a good stat site like bf2stats.net huh :) with red/green colors for ratios and all..
i hope you're preparing something good nsvr, good luck :)

btw, there's something i don't understand

sometimes i unlock a gold star with a weapon, formerly 100 kills with the same weapon.
but the stats site (and same ingame) show only 85/87/90 or other, but not 100. (same thing for silver etc.)

with everything it's the same, guns, vehicles etc.

any idea about dat ? that's strange

even the insignas and stats don't show the same thing, for example on stats site i see i got 107 kills with knife for example, and in the insignas i see 113/200. so wtf

If I had the time I would. Maybe somewhere late June I have some time.

I'm using battletracker.com for checking Bad Company 2 stats, works fine and fast.
