If I was on a team that had a commander like you were, I couldn't care less about him making whatever point or whatever he was trying to proof, in such a case I can only think of what brand cigar to give to the admin banning such a nasty individual.
Off course the commander before you deserved a punishment. Dice created a very nice tool for that kind of dandruff sniffers, its called: kick.

I'm all for kick vote and mutiny. Voting should be the way to remove a player the team deems disruptive. It should not be one person making that call alone.

Problem is bf2:s kick vote option sucks.

So far today i have banned 3 people for glitching into buildings on Sharqi, one aimbotter and two guys having a rampage teamkilling party on the Gotland servers.

Now that they are banned on your server how does that help solve the problem? It doesn't because those people will just go to another server and do what you banned them for. DICE should have made a way to report issues and submit things such as Battlerecords instead of admins issuing local bans.

so you think they should be allowed to stay in the servers while dice/ea/wutever is looking at the issue what could take weeks or months ? You are also forgetting fox this is old game they wont spent resources to deal with something that admins can handle.

I want them to but realistically they wont because it is old. Now if things had been the way I wanted from the beginning then maybe DICE would have addressed these issues along time ago. Instead admins just kicked people, never reported problems, and because of that they are still in the game.

What I'm hoping now is that they don't make the same mistakes they did with BF2. They should put a system in place that forces admins to report any thing they consider an issue before they can take any action, this way if something truly is an issue it will be solved globally and not locally. Everyone should be playing the same game and if admins think they need to have some type of in house rule then it should be patched in like I/O was. If an admin is kicking a player for exploiting the game then some type of screen shot or short in game recording should be submitted, then the option to kick should appear. This way if admins are being abusive EA can police them. Any report should have brief description of what occurred and why they chose to kick or ban the player. If it is found that admins are enforcing rules that change gameplay then the server should be deranked and all people who played on the server more than 1 hour should get their stats reset.

Your so called "problem" aint problem for the 99 % of the community. You cannot expect a huge company will listen 1 % of player bases idea when admining has been the standard of any good games.

Oke first of all if we consider there will be 1000- 5000 servers online at peak hours(random numbers) ? How many reports would you expect to recive from 1 server only in day. I can trowh some numbers as server admin its around 10-50 depending how popular the server is.

Now count that we have nearly 5000 servers ? im trowhing random numbers here but you should be able to see the point. So how many employees we should hire to just read these reports and see is the admin right or wrong ? We are talking about possible 100 000 reports a day.

Oke tell me what company does want to spent resources for reading these reports ? Consider that it might take 1-2 hours to just resolve 1 of these cases or did i completly miss the point you are talking about ?

Even if it were millions of reports per second it would not matter. Anyone, especially a company full of programs, can create and use a an algorithm to sort reports by common phrases and words. Then address them as one issue. The most reported issue would end up being addressed first, while others would have to wait. How do you think Microsoft decided on what it patches when Windows reports an error? They just sort the error reports by highest to lowest then address the most reported errors in updates. Admins kicking players with not sort of report is the same as Windows just having errors, never reporting them, then the user just deciding to delete the program that causes the problem. The issue is never addressed and the program is the only thing that is gone now. Same for servers. The issue is never addressed and the only thing that has happened is that one player cant return to one server. Nothing gets fixed.

The current system is broken. Admins enforcing custom rules in ranked games negates the entire point of even having stats and exploits being found by players are never fixed. BF3 should be better. Within the first year if there aren't at least 3 patches something is wrong.
