Funny you should say that, I just got kicked from the Super@ BF2 Jalalabad server solely because I took a tank. Or at least, I got kicked for no reason and then the admin took my tank...make of that what you will.

At least they didn't ban me, but I don't know if I want to play there anymore now if I'm just going to get arbitrarily kicked for nothing.

funny you should sat that, they dopn't kick players for no reason, you took a tank, be descriptive, from the uncap of the enemy base or a captured enemy flag? theres always a reason, 2 sides to every story.

From what I am able to establish from the server logs you were kicked with the reason 'teamkill'
The admin who kicked you has only just recently joined our clan, i.e. 7 days ago.
You have posted a message on our forums @ 11:45 PM GMT, as the admin has not been in our forums since either your kick or the appeal you have raised; if you do not mind me saying, it seems a little premature to start making accusations, but I guess it’s your decision.
If you do not return to our servers then best of luck elsewhere.

Notice to other readers:
It is unacceptable for admins to kick players unless they transgress the rules of the server. We take admin abuse extremely seriously and we have expelled 3 admins recently for what we considered inappropriate behaviour.

How this became a BF2 discussion when the OP was regarding Bad Company 2 isn't really helping either.

I don't particularly wish to comment on the Wonka clan, nor do I want my comments interpreted as being in support of their reported actions.
Players may want to consider the complete lack of admin support provided by DICE in Bad Company 2, and the paucity of information available after a month of gaming.
More than ever admin decisions will be based on instinct and in game comments, what 'solid proof' do you expect admins to provide?
With practically no admin tools, no support and DICE's attitude to providing any coherent strategy; the present lamentable situation between EA, DICE and punkbuster is laughable.
It’s a console game and they have applied that mentality to the complete abdication of responsibility for server administration.
While this may be frustrating for players, just consider how annoyed the admins are, and in many cases they are paying for these servers.

To SuperInfantry's defense, I have played for months on their servers and have never been kicked even once, save for the auto-kick when having a high ping.
The only thing I don't like in SI servers is that too many retards idiots players plant clays on flags and use C4 but hey, admins can't be everywhere everytime.

By the way, is server 2 (Karkand I/O) down or what? It quite saddens me to have a red server name in my favorites =(

Well, I'm surprised that my off-the-cuff post got a serious response. Thank you very much to superinfantryclan for the fair and reasonable post. I was a little frustrated when I posted last night as I had no success getting feedback from the admin in question so bear this in mind if I seemed a little hasty...

Secondly, let me say that I sincerely hope that there is a justifiable explanation as I have hundreds of hours on Super@ servers and have enjoyed my time there very much. This is the first time I've had such a problem but I find it quite irksome to be bullied off the server soley for playing the game and trying to have fun.

I'll elaborate on exactly what happened. Start of the round, the admin in question is given one of the USMC tanks by his squadmate. They drive towards the outpost flag and die shortly afterwards. When the tank respawns I get it. The aforementioned two players also wanted it, but hey, that's the luck of the draw and that's what we all have to put up with when we want vehicles.

The admin's squadmate (the guy who gave him the tank) gets in anyway in the MG position and I drive off. A few seconds later I get kicked. Reviewing the game in battlerecorder ( http://bf.killercreation.co.uk/demos/bf ... 03.bf2demo ) I saw that the admin's mate then drove the tank back and gave it to the admin again.

I rejoined and asked for an explanation. No response. I tried joining the admin's squad to get his attention. No respose, kicked from squad. I posted at the Super@ forum and sent a private message to the admin. No response.

So tell me, am I being so unreasonable? I'd like to know if I can expect the same again if I happen to be fortunate enough to get the tank, and I'd also like to know how anybody else here would react under the same circumstances.

As I say, I like the Super@ servers a lot and this is the only time something of this nature has happened.

Oh, and I should also clarify that there was no teamkill. I've never been infracted, warned, or kicked from any server for teamkilling and I revile scumbags who tk for vehicles as vermin.

This is the same account that has been posted in the SUPER@ forums.

Quote:
I'll elaborate on exactly what happened

You can elucidate the events which occured from your perspective, you can provide conjecture and you can make assumptions in addition to embelishing your account with adjectives.

The only person who can provide the reaon for your kick is the admin who instigated the action.
He is Polish, so please be patient, his English is better than my Polish but I get the impression he is far from fluent in your 'native ?' language.

Regarding your questions:
Are you being so unreasonable ?
In making accusations before there has been reasonable opportunity for us to respond?...... you need me to answer this?
Will you get kicked from SUPER@ servers for taking hardware before an admin - you better damn well not be - ever!

'how anybody else here would react under the same circumstances'
Not sure what you are asking:
Would any other admin kick for the explanation you have provided? They shouldn't
Would other players report their negative experiences in forums? They do.

You yourself stated:
'I have hundreds of hours on Super@ servers.............This is the first time I've had such a problem'
We have not suddenly introduced a new philosophy.
Can I guarantee you will never be kicked again - NO.
Can I guarantee that an admin won't make a mistake (if this is what happened) - NO.

Do we allow admins to abuse their rights and do admins get preferential gameplay treatment - NO.

The principle is this:
Admins are there to play, and when required, too warn/kick/ban players who break the server rules.

Yeah.....can't say that I agree, but server 2 is an ex-server! It saddens me as well.
Unfortunately, my machine was nuked when this decision was taken, so I was out of the loop on this one. Sorry about this, I tried my best but I was 'it appears' out voted.

Regarding the C4 / clay rule breakers....yeah, they drive me up the wall as well.
In some ways its our own fault for having the rules, but they were imposed to provide a compeitive enviornment but some people see the chance for an easy kill or gain an advantage.

If you join our teamspeak channel an admin should be available for most of the day.

Thanks for your support.

Totally agree with everything there Bipsy, and yes, I also have some red spots in my favlist

As for the current discussion, 1st of all, it should not be here tbh, but since it is, we are free to comment, innit?
Nihil, as it sounds great unjust has been done to you. That never feels good and in the heat of the game all chemicall substances (I off course mean the ones that the body produces itself) make that feeling even worse.
You applied on the forum, aka plan "A", verrry good, but imho you should have waited a little longer before posting here. You mentioned that you play hundreds of hours on Super@ servers, without any problems before. This could be interpretated as well managed therefor. So one might assume that the forum enjoys a simular treatment. Again, I understand your frustration and desire to get the matter solved and honour restored, but the admin in question was: playing himself, or with himself, sleeping, making homework, cooking, working, at school, or perhaps feeding his newborn. They do have lives -even the horrible ones that kick to get a seat in a tank- and are not on a constant duty of solving matters on their clan's forum.

And altough you have only a few posts on this forum, I take it that you read it more than you post, as most do. In that case you must know that ventilating ones anger slash frustration about a server (a public one, one that is being adminned by people who pay for it mostly) usually ends up in a, well, mess.
Nice for us, the many viewers of our beloved bf2stats (flamewar, couchsitting, bags of chips, beer to name but a few corewords involved in such a mudthrowing event), but the accused and accusing might regret later.

Mr. superinfantryclan responded in a very grown up way and I am sure that you 2 work it out in the same grown up way. It may sound as if I some preference for the @'s, and frankly, I do. As yourself, I played there many hours and hardly witnessed any wrongdoings, except for the points Bipsy was talking about. Sure I saw admins (with a lotta stars) do naughty stuff like unreachable roofs and nadespamming, but overall, when present, admins do their jobs well. Maybe you found the one rotten apple that somehow managed to get through their thorough and severe selectioncriteria, maybe not.

To prevent more posts from people who have nothing better to do than to write endless posts, like my good self at the moment, may I suggest to wait just that tiny bit longer before posting the "let's get it on" post ;)
Good luck both with fixing the peace ;)

PS: if you both decide to go on in this thread, be my guest, I have beer, chips and like I said, not much better to do at the moment, so let's get it on!!! :D

Well, disappointingly for drama fans (looking at you, DaHappyCamper) the thread over at Super@ forums has generated no response other than a fairly unintelligible one-liner from the accused which does nothing to increase my confidence in him.

He has apparently withdrawn his accusation of teamkilling though, since of course I have cast-iron proof of my innocence on that count. Now he seems to be implying (I might be wrong) that he kicked me for some kind of offensive in-game communication on my part. I hope he's not suggesting that, because that accusation would be as false as the first one.

In any case, he seems quite content to leave the matter unresolved and is in no hurry to justify his behaviour.

I still play on Super@ servers, but I avoid this guy as I don't fancy giving him the pleasure of kicking me again.

I am sorry to read that Nihil, apparently you found the rotten apple. I hope your fun isn't too much spoiled by this matter, because that is why we play, innit?

You know what, i gave it some rest.
Gave it some time to think about it and it still did'nt feel right.
I mean, I played on their servers for months now and that was allways good fun.

Then, i made a big mistake: Posting the fact that i got kicked from their server on another forum other then theirs.
I should have sended the person / admin that kicked me a PM instead on their forum.
I realize that now. But as we all know, When you get angry, lose your cool, you can do or say things.
Things that you normally won't do or say. I'm not saying this as an excuse but just because i also posted it on here.
As i said, it has allways been good fun those past months playing on their servers
and now i'm appologizing for the fact i gave them a bad name. Because they did'nt deserve that.

Hell, i just even played on 1 of their BC2 servers again with Ghosflyer, RogueGoose, Jive and some others and it was good fun as usual.

Now to some of those WONKA's i may not be welcome anymore considering i gave them a bad name,
but hey, at least i'm willing to appologize for my mistake. After all, that's the least and only thing i can do. Right?
