I have had it for a few months but didn't take the time to program it correctly till recently. I now have it working pretty good. Was looking for tips and to see if anyone had a good set up for BF2 that they could share, esp any cool macro's.

Just remember that many servers will permanently ban you if you use any sort of macros when playing there.

Just giving you a word of warning.

In my experience, the best players don't use the or need macros. They have developed the skills to simply be very good using the standard keys and key assignments that anyone can setup through the game's own interface.

Ok I did not know this. I'm not a hacker but thought if a macro would make the game play better I might try it. Guess I'll stick to reqular key punches like most. Just need to get better at the initial trigger pull!
Thanks

My Opinion on Macro's - LAME!

Alot of people here and over the Battlefield Community hate Macro's it's a type of cheating... if it's used to key bind commands for Adminning then fair enough but for gameplay use it's lame.

Around 87% of servers ban for Macro's.

it does not enhance your gameplay imo, if anything it make's it slower.

It looks good... but no use for me, Mouse & Keyboard FTW

K, dudes, don't be so harsh. If he wants to play on macro-allowed servers, that fine. Yeah, I don't like them either, but whatever.

Looks like a neat game pad...I don't have it, but always wanted an external palm-board. I was going to purchase a Logitech until I saw the price :)

Hey no problem, I've got thick skin. I've been playing off and on for past 2 yrs and progress has been steady but slow. Enjoy playing with a few folks I know and the team work can be great. I'm not a super user and find that I still enjoy the fight with my limited capabilities. See ya around Karkand.

Most important thing, ammomike, is to have FUN.

It is a game, after all, so enjoy it as you wish.

Just avoid using macros on the public servers - that would be best.

Whatever you do, ENJOY!!

BF2 is a simply incredible game - after almost 3 years I still love playing it.

+1, i only said that about macro's because ive been in a few servers where ppl are clearly usin macros to dolphin dive or jump prone the rpk's, it's so lame that ppl have to jump prone everytime to get a kill, why not stand up like the rest of us and use some skill. anyways, that gamepad looks bad ass, i know since i've gotten my keybaord wich has a seperate gamepad on the left side, i will never use a regular keyboard again. gamepads are awsome, especially with mine it has an interface for control changes thats dead simple just drag and drop and save, or manually set any key to whatever. twice as much fun if not 3 times better than old skool wsad regular run of the mill keyboard.

That keyboard looks cool and I can see it is very similar to the Belkin I have.

Anyone got a favorite server out there? Favorite game?

I seem to be gravitated to Madhouse and Karkand lately and enjoy a full house but the grenades can get old fast when they get ya down to one flag with no place else to go!

I see news lately that BF3 is coming later this year but I guess that has been promised for a long time!

See ya on the field.
