heh, i used to have this very same router myself, and it also gave me big problems with bf2.

i tried upgrading the firmware, opening ports, loads of things, and i kept getting connection problems, and i couldn't connect to 75% of servers at all unless i disabled voip - so i ended up playing only on the same 6 servers that i had no problems with.

i also had problems downloading torrents, even though i opened the correct ports etc.

eventually a freak electrical storm fried the router, and a friend happened to have a spare router that he gave me - it's a very similar model, i now have a belkin f5d7633-4, which works completely fine with bf2, torrents and everything else.

i guess the f5d7632-4 is just a duff router, and almost anything else would work ok - can you exchange it for another?

i saw on some forum months ago that there are some 'unofficial' firmware/bioses around for the router, you could try flashing those if you feel like a bit of excitement. sorry i don't have the link right now.

good luck...

Did you try port forwarding, for all important bf2 ports?

when i had that old router, i did lots of research about opening/forwarding ports, but it was all a waste of time - i could not maintain a stable connection to most servers unless i disabled voip.

with the new router, which is very similar - the serial number is only 1 higher, i haven't forwarded any of my ports for bf2, and i have no troubles at all connecting to servers or using voip.

so i do not understand this thing about bf2 ports...is it a myth, like patch 1.5?

I have an old Belkin laying collecting dust,it was never any good at keeping a stable connection to any server(mind you this was back in the prime of SOF2 at the time),its nice to know that they haven't gotten any better with their products since lol!I guess they make Belkins for those who just surf the web,not play games on it.
