Hey all,

As you may have noticed, we have been down the whole day yesterday, due some technical problems. I was trying to resolve some performance issues, because the website was running a bit sluggish. But doing that ended up in the whole website being unreachable, the entire day, giving everyone a 403 forbidden error. It is the default server page, and was caused by a bug in the control panel of the provider, which ended up in a bad configuration. Unfortunately it was out of my control, and I had to wait until the issue was resolved.

I'm still trying to resolve the issues, and improving the performance, and will continue to do so. Hopefully the website won't disappear again anytime soon.

Best regards,
Nick

Don't worry, Nick, we are all very grateful that this forum is here at all, and it is very rare to ever have a problem with it.

Thank you for your ongoing work in keeping it alive.

There are three sites I practically live on during the day and this is one of them so I found myself a bit lost yesterday! I'm glad you got it sorted, I'm sure there's a hell of a lot of work you have to do behind the scenes here and the community appreciates it.

The other 2 are X-Rated? , Nah just kidding.

I found myself lost a bit too, must have been clicking about 15 times on the bookmark to check if it was up again :)

Because of the ongoing problems, i have moved away from the previous hosting provider. I have moved the website onto a vps located in London.

I still have to configure lots of things in the server, so some thing might not be working. Luckily i was able to get the server online with some basic configuration.

Well, I can certainly notice a difference in load times now, it used to be 1-3 seconds, now it's more like 0.1 :D

Agreed - it is noticeably faster at loading now.

Good work, nsvr, and thanks again for keeping us informed.
